it goes on…

hi folx, i want to  share with you my work. tomorrow the weatherforecast provided good weather, so i took a day of to continue the work.

what i’ve done for now:

water inlet

water inlet

this is the water inlet for the fresh water tanks. therefore i cut into the wall and reinforced the sheet metal with a wooden frame.

isolation

isolation

the next step was to isolate the outer wall

tank fitting

tank fitting

to fit the fresh water tanks i will use two tension belts. therefore i screwed the ratched spanners directly to the bottom.

measurements

measurements

to install the first wall i had to measure everything correctly. i used the support on the left side as a reference.

angle bracket

angle bracket

to connect the wall to the car i first used aluminum brackets with glue (sikaflex 252). the next day i realized that the glue does not stick to the aluminum oxide surface. so i removed the brackets and replaced them by brackets made out of steel. later on i still used aluminum brackets with sikaflex but i scratched the surface to remove the oxide and stamp some pattern on it. the glue is enough to connect the wall, there is no need to fix it with screws.

1st wall

1st wall

the first wall is set up! yes, some advances…

preparings 2nd wall

preparings 2nd wall

as the title on the picture already says… on the right side you can see the brackets glued to the supports and the battens on the roof and bottom.
